Not another film about Katrina

Set in New Orleans in the months after Katrina, the film tells the story of Turner Stull (Barlow Jacobs), a young, aimless man who is persuaded by his uncle (Robert Longstreet) to come to New Orleans and learn the adjusting trade. Soon, he encounters local man Nixon (Eddie Rouse), who is wandering the city looking for his lost dog "Crunchy."  They partner up, with Nixon taking over Turner's adjusting duties in exchange for the chance to widen his search for Crunchy.
